Clinical Psychologist
I qualified as a clinical psychologist from the University of Leeds in 2007 and am regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist. I am committed to maintaining the highest standard of professional conduct and behaviours, utilise professional clinical supervision and engage in ongoing professional development and training.
I first began working with neurodivergence in 1999 as an Assistant Psychologist in the NHS. I have continued to specialise in this area throughout my career in the NHS, in the charitable sector and privately and now have over 25 years’ experience and specialised training. I have substantial experience in assessing individuals regarding neurodivergence (children and adults). I am also accredited to use standardised assessments such as the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition) and the ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised) in addition to having experience of other assessment tools, such as the DIVA (Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults), CAARS (Conners' Adult ADHD Rating Scales) and the SRS-2 (Social Responsiveness Scale - Second Edition).
I use my skills and experience to work collaboratively with individuals to enable them develop a comprehensive understanding of their neurodivergence in terms of the areas where they flourish and those where they may experience struggles.
I use this understanding to guide individuals to strategies that may be helpful for them. Those I have worked with have described how I have a warm and friendly personality.
